Zhi Mu. This small, grass-like plant is in the Lily family. Zhi Mu is found growing wild in Northern China and It's rhizomes have been collected and used in TCM for thousands of years. Zhi MU is used specifically for fevers, Bronchitis, Pneumonia and as a rinse for canker sores. Zhi Mu also contains pain relieving saponins used for treating lower back pain it is used as a bitter and is anti-fungal. Easy to grow and very hardy, as well. It flowers to a foot and a half tall with sweet smelling flowers and produces quantities of rhizomes. Hardy Perennial to Zone 7.
