Mexican Whorled Milkweed
Another beautiful Milkweed to enhance your pollinator garden. This species is native to the Western states primarily California and Oregon and grows in a wide range of environments. As long as the soil has adequate drainage they will thrive. The blooms are lovely and this Milkweed is often planted as an ornamental addition to a native landscape! Blooms are lavenderish whitish purple and very pretty. Like the showy Milkweed these plants are a host for the Monarch butterfly in their larval stage! Drought tolerant perennial. Hardy to zone 6/7.
