Fennel, Bronze


Bronze Fennel's feathery Green tinged brown leaves give rise to it's umbel flower which is excellent fodder for many pollinators and beneficial insects. An excellent herb used both for culinary purposes and medicinally. Fennel is used in many recipes both savory and sweet. Medicinally It has been used as an antiseptic, expectorant, and carminative (relieves gas). It has also been shown to counter the effects of cramping laxatives and is gentle enough for babies, specifically for colic. Easy to grow, drought tolerant and prefers full to part sun. Self seeding biennial. Hardy to zone 5.
