Description
The oil extracted from this plant has been used frequently in cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. It is also used as a top quality industrial lubricant that may replace sperm whale oil. Used in shampoos. It is believed to arrest hair loss and induce new growth. This woody evergreen shrub has attractive rounded, leathery green leaves and does well in a container over wintered in the greenhouse. This is a dryland, Drought tolerant plant and needs a very well drained soil. Prefers full sun. Tender Perennial Hardy to zones 9-10
