A treasured medicinal food plant. The root is grated and preserved in vinegar as a spicy condiment. Traditionally used in Chinese, European and American food. It has a strong effect on the respiratory system, clearing the sinuses and increasing phlegm production. Prefers a fertile garden location; full sun or part shade. Multiplies readily and will create a large patch if left unchecked. Hardy perennial. Hardy to zone 3.

Occasionally, customers ask us about priority mail as a shipping option, but due to our extremely rural location, our tiny post office is simply not equipped to handle our shipping volume and it has been our experience that USPS is simply not as dependable for prompt and safe plant delivery.

We ship well established, healthy plants and we want them to look that way when they arrive at your doorstep and we truly believe that fast, efficient shipping is a worthwhile investment toward this goal.

Rates: Our customers East of the Rocky Mountains must use UPS 3 Day Delivery to guarantee the arrival of healthy plants.

Remember To Include A Physical Address For UPS Delivery. No PO Boxes. Our shipping rates for up to 18 PLANTS are as follows:

WEST COAST UPS GROUND: (CA, OR, WA):
$15.50 (1-9 plants) $18.50 (10-18 plants).

WEST OF THE ROCKIES UPS GROUND : (NV, ID, MT, CO, AZ, NM, WY, UT):
$18.50 (1-9 plants) $22.50 (10-18 plants)

EAST OF THE ROCKIES - UPS 3 DAY SELECT: (All Other States)
$38.50 (1-9 plants) If ordering 10 or more plants, actual shipping rates will apply. Email or call for an estimate.

For orders larger than 18 plants, exact shipping charges will be applied. CALL US for pricing.

Plants sold in sets, are at a discount. Please, no substitutions.

Our plants are shipped between late March and late November. We guarantee our plants will arrive in good condition and will ship them to you as quickly as possible to minimize any setback from travel.
